Preparing for Tests:
Students will need to study at home. Here are a few suggestions to help you and your child prepare for a test...
- Check your child's agenda to see what we are doing at school.
- Check "Eagle Glen Homework Folder" that will be kept in each student's binder.
- Establish a time and place for homework to be completed. Keep a few basic items handy: pencils, notebook paper, cold when colored pencils, etc.
- When supporting your child with homework, don't do it for him/her. Guide your child to look at their notes itheir journal taken in class.
- Establish a neatness standard when checking your child's work.
- If your child is struggling, send me an email or write me a note.

- Create flashcards for vocabulary or basic facts.
- Ask the questions on the study guide, allowing the student to answer in his own words. Look for key phrases or vocabulary.
- Write out a practice essay or short answer to known learning target questions.
- Quiz topics while you are in the car.
- Study a bit for a couple of nights before an exam instead of cramming right before.
